Anxiety

In March 2020 life as we knew it changed suddenly. We became enveloped in a global crisis. We were frightened to the core. We did not know what was happening, and we had absolutely no control over the unfolding of events. Many of us reverted to a child-like state almost, looking to the higher powers above us for reassurance and to keep us safe. Fear surrounded us as the media reported deaths and numbers and the worrying state of our hospitals. Daily life was turned upside down, when a simple trip to the supermarket was now almost an ordeal. We entered survival mode – doing all that we could to stay healthy ourselves and to protect others. For lots of us, this meant living in prolonged state of stress.  We have been through so much fear, loneliness and isolation and unfortunately some have been through so much heartbreak due to illness and bereavement. We have been forced to slow down and sit with ourselves. Something which can be very difficult to do. This is an unforgettable time.

Not only will our minds remember this period of our lives forever, but the body will also keep the score. Our bodies have been unable to process the huge range of emotions due to fight or flight mode. As a result, I am seeing a huge number of clients who are experiencing a high level of anxiety, now that we are emerging (hopefully) from this global pandemic and society is slowly beginning to re-open in a very different capacity. Anxiety is not a buzz word. It is very very real. It is taking many forms in individuals. Some are experiencing social anxiety. We were forced to stay at home, albeit for the greater good. However, this isolation has had a negative impact on some people as they have almost forgotten how to conversate or socialise.

Health anxiety is also prevalent as some continue to be very worried for their own health and that of their loved ones.

If you are finding it difficult to cope in this new environment, I urge you to reach out. The therapies I practice e.g. Reflexology, Biomagnetism, Intuitive Energy Healing, Kinesiology and Essential Oils, can help you to identify and process your emotions and support you through this transition.

If you would like to speak to me in confidence, you can contact me on 0879138807.
